Table 2: Occupations of the Experienced Civilian Labor Force by Sex and Minority
Below is a listing of the Table 2: Occupations of the Experienced Civilian Labor Force for each of the counties. This information can be used to determine the percentage of minorities or women with requisite skills in the reasonable recruitment area for each job group. Since this data is available only once every five years, users may find it useful to multiply the share (or percentage) of people in a given occupation times the most recent labor force and unemployment data from Table 1 to arrive at an approximation of how many minorities or women might be presently available.
Data files are available in both PDF and Excel. Select your desired area and preferred format from the tables below.
In an attempt to decrease the possibility of revealing information on individual respondents, the Census Bureau revised its disclosure criteria. Data for a detailed occupation with fewer than 10,000 people are aggregated with related occupations to ensure that individual information is protected.
In addition, data cannot be shown for any geographic area with fewer than 50,000 people. Twenty-seven counties are affected by this second criterion. In these instances, a county is combined with adjacent counties until the 50,000 threshold is met. The table below reflects the new "county" configurations. Data are not available for these counties individually.
