Superintendent and Principal Program Guidelines

We are pleased to provide the official approved guidelines for the new Superintendent and Principal Preparation Programs. The goals of these new guidelines are to:

Ensure that programs are aligned with the three core and six corollary Pennsylvania Leadership Standards.
Ensure that programs are incorporating the promising practices of leader preparation programs that have demonstrated a link to improved student achievement.
Ensure that a comprehensive and relevant curriculum is offered and that adequate field experiences are included.
Ensure that the faculty in each program is highly qualified and includes researchers as well as practitioners with recent experience.
