Pennsylvania EMS ACT
On August 18, 2009, the new EMS Systems Act was signed into law. This is an exciting time for all EMS Providers and with this signing, EMS in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is moving forward to continue providing exceptional Emergency Medical Services. Subsequently, with the passing of Act 37, the rules and regulations will be promulgated over the next 2 years allowing ample time for comment. Congratulations to our EMS System.
Pennsylvania EMS Rules and Regulations
The following proposed Rules and Regulations, promulgated by the signing of the EMS Act of 2009, were published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on October 29, 2011. Comments must be submitted in writing to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, Room 606 Health & Welfare Building, 625 Forster Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120 within 30 days of the date of publication in the PA Bulletin.
