The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) operates the Lead Abatement Training Center with funds provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The training center is located at Danville State Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania.
Courses are based on EPA model curricula and meet EPA criteria. All courses are fully accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Lead training is provided tuition-free to direct employees of federal, state, county and municipal government agencies only, as well as to qualified non-profit organizations. Proof of non-profit status must be provided, (IRS 501(c)(3) Form) when registering.
Each agency is responsible for its attendee's lodging, travel and subsistence-related expenses. For-profit companies, organizations and individuals do not qualify for any of the training. Refresher courses are offered in all disciplines. Courses can be customized and presented to meet individual training needs.
