2010 High Priority Occupations in Advanced Materials and Diversified Manufacturing Industry Cluster
 
The AMDM cluster includes most durable goods industries. Notable exclusions include food production, tobacco, lumber, paper, pharmaceuticals and manufacturers that produce materials for the building industries, such as roofing materials and cement. These excluded industries can be found within other industry clusters where there exists a significant supply chain or dependence among related industries. This cluster is further refined into five sub-clusters for closer evaluation.

BD Bachelor’s Degree – degree completed after four years of full-time schooling beyond high school.
BD+ Bachelor’s Degree plus experience – a four-year bachelor’s degree plus experience gained through hands-on experience.
MD Master’s – training at the college or university level beyond a four-year bachelor’s degree.
PhD Doctoral – training at the college or university level beyond a four-year bachelor’s degree.
PROF First Professional Degree – training at the college or university level beyond a four-year bachelor’s degree.
