2010 High Priority Occupations in Lumber, Wood & Paper (LWP) Industry Cluster

The LWP cluster begins with logging and moves through sawmills to the manufacturing of wood furniture and paper products. The retail sales of building materials are included as it represents an increasingly larger market for the products of this cluster. Although home centers often provide materials not derived from the tree, the inability to determine what percentage of their workforce and sales is from lumber and wood products requires us to consider their significance to the LWP cluster.
