2008 Market Conduct Examinations
The Market Conduct Division expands the Department’s oversight of the insurance industry by reviewing company and producer operations to determine if they are in compliance with the law. The division reviews data and other information and conducts comprehensive examinations of insurance companies’ records, files and practices to determine their compliance with Pennsylvania’s insurance statutes and regulations in such areas like sales, advertising, claims payment, underwriting and rating.
