Extension of Electronic Filing Requirement
In previous communications, all employers were notified that beginning in 2010, electronic filing of the quarterly reports would be required. Implementation of the electronic filing requirement has been delayed and employers will be notified when a new date is determined.
When electronic filing is implemented, no paper forms will be mailed to employers. This supports the Department's efforts, to standardize the collection of wage data and employer contributions, increase employers’ self-service options, improve the accuracy of data, and make processing more efficient and less expensive to employers and the commonwealth.
We will continue to keep you informed about the features of the Unemployment Compensation Management System, or UCMS, through the UC Issues Update, which is available on the Employer Services section of our Web site.
