2012/2013 Annual Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest Announced

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is pleased to announce the 2012/2013 Annual Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest.  The contest is open to all Pennsylvania students in kindergarten through grade 12, including those who are home-schooled.

The Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest is a creative and fun way for students to depict all of the positive alternatives there are to underage drinking, like getting involved in sports, playing games, or volunteering in their community.  By tapping into their creativity and designing unique posters, kids send an important message to other kids - there are many alternatives to underage drinking; kids do not have to drink to have fun.

Approximately 50 outstanding entries will be selected by a panel of judges. The students who created them will be recognized at a ceremony in the State Capitol Building. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will announce and contact the winning entrants in early 2013.

Entries must be received by the PLCB no later than November 16, 2012. For additional information concerning submission dates, guidelines, and prizes, please download the documents below.

If you have any questions, or would like to be added to our Poster Contest electronic announcement notification list, please contact our office at (717) 772-1432 or send an email to
